27 acre private island on the east side of Cortes Island in the entrance to Squirrel Cove. The island has over 1 mile of diverse low-bank shoreline with multiple bays, coves and peninsulas. The topography is relatively gentle to moderate and easy to walk. This is a heavily treed property with a number of exceptionally large old-growth fir and cedar in amongst a beautifully mixed forest. Oriented from the south-east to the north-west the island enjoys lots of sunny exposure as well as beautiful unobstructed views across Desolation Sound and down the Strait of Georgia. The Squirrel Cove side of the property is a well-known anchorage and provides excellent protected deep-water moorage. There are a number of locations that would be excellent building sites and a variety of walking trails could be cleared which could also easily accommodate small all-terrain vehicles. Access to Cortes Island is literally within minutes at the Government Dock in Squirrel Cove.
